Electronic hook scale can be divided into hook hanging type, driving type and portable 3 kinds according to the position of sensor device and the size of the scale. Hook hanging electronic hook scale is widely used, it can be divided into wireless direct, wireless transmission and wired, common specifications for 200 ~ 50000kg.

The structure characteristic of wireless direct electronic hook scale is that the weighing sensor, the weighing body and the weighing display controller form a whole, powered by rechargeable battery, without dragging power line. The scale can be weighed by hanging it on the hook of the lifting machinery, and the weight of the weighed object is directly displayed on the scale. It needs to operate readings at the weighing site.

The structure characteristic of wireless transmission electronic hook scale is that the weighing sensor and the scale body are an independent unit, and the weighing display controller is another independent unit. There are no wires or other mechanical connections between the two units. The weighing scale body unit is hung on the hook of the lifting machine and powered by rechargeable battery. The weighing display controller unit is placed on the ground operating table. The operating platform can be 100 ~ 400m away from the crane site. The working principle of wireless transmission electronic crane scale is shown in Figure 2. When weighing, the weight electrical signal is transmitted through the radio transmission device on the unit of weighing scale in the form of coded carrier, and the receiving device on the unit of weighing display controller receives the signal and sends it to the microprocessor for processing, and finally displays the mass of the weighed object or prints the record.

The structure of wired electronic hook scale is similar to that of wireless transmission electronic hook scale, and it is also composed of weighing scale body unit and weighing display controller unit, and the use method is the same. But there is a wire connecting the two units. When weighing, the weight display signal is transmitted to the weighing display controller through the wire, showing the mass of the weighed object. Due to the use of wired power supply, with trailing wire, so the scale in use appears to be very inconvenient.
